Sam empties a large bag of plastic bottles into the recycling bin downtown.RECYCLE, RECYCLE, RECYCLE! These words have been floating around school for the past couple weeks as the Environmental Science class has been undertaking a school-wide project to increase recycling. The first step the class decided to take was that of informing others of the problem of the large amounts of trash we regularly dump in landfills across the U.S. Next the class took steps to prepare recycling containers for paper for each classroom and office throughout the school. By next week, there will also be recycling bins for aluminum and plastic bottles in every building.

Preparing materials to be recycled takes work--everyone's help is appreciated!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!!
Paula | Feb 25, 2008 | This is an awesome project for our school! It's amazing how much can be recycled that we normally just put in the landfill! Nice job, Mrs. Walsh and students! |
| stephiimnscrubz@hotmail.comRN | Feb 26, 2008 | This is great! You should be proud of your success. I would like to help with the project, where can I bring my stuff? What are the hours, etc.? Will this be a community project? |
| Sara Walshswalsh@esu8.orgEPSTeacher | Feb 28, 2008 | There have been many people who have asked us what they can do to help recycle. We are currently brainstorming ways to get more people involved. For now our recommendation is to utilize the recycling trailers downtown; they are always open. Look for a new article to appear shortly with our recommendations and recycling tips! Thanks! |
