Look at all the garbage!

Check out the updated recycling graphs!

by Sara Walsh

March 06, 2008

Thanks to everyone's help, our recycling project has surpassed our expectations!  Each week as we gather and collect our data, we try to figure out reasons that our weights may be higher or lower than we had predicted.  For example, the class had predicted the amount of aluminum collected would go up at the beginning of the 4th quarter.  Reason?  No down/failing list to keep students from pop pass!  Our cardboard amounts also went down.  Reason?  No new computers arrived and the library was done cleaning out old boxes!  Our paper amounts also went down.  Reason?  We hope it's that people are becoming more aware of our wastefulness and are using less and re-using more!  We continue to urge students and staff to continue to use the recycling containers for paper, plastic, and aluminum!
