ELGIN IS HOSTING SOLO-ENSEMBLE BAND CONTEST!
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Elgin Elementary Solo-Ensemble Contest is this Saturday, March 29th. This year, 13 schools will participate including: Clearwater, Stanton, Ewing,
Creighton, St. Edward, Cedar Rapids, Verdigre, Orchard, Neligh-Oakdale, North Loop-Scotia, Battle Creek, Greeley-Wolbach and Elgin. About 260
entries will begin performing at 8:15 am and finish around 2:35 pm. Five judges will critique the performers for their ratings. They are: Larry Jones, Darrell Neitzke, Rob Hartung, Randy Neuharth and Chad Dean.
Each student (grades 5-8) from Elgin will perform a solo and the Cadet Band (grades 5-6) will perform two pieces: Resolution and Gallant March at 8:30 am in the lunch room. Soloists are listed below:
