FOOTBALL TEAM PREPARES FOR NEXT YEAR

The Elgin Football Team had their spring meeting and voted on captains for the 2008 season. The 2008 Captains are Andrew Bauer, Tad Henkenius, Nathan Niewohner, and Austin Stamp. These young men are expected to be leaders and role models for fellow teammates. To remain a captain, they must be a good role model and complete the duties required to be a captain.
The State has released our 2008-2009 football schedules. We are one of the few teams to play week zero. What Does That Mean? We will begin football a week earlier that most of the other teams. We will start 2 a days practice August 11 and our first game will be August 29 vs. Wynot. Since we play the week zero game this year we will also have a bye week during the season.
