2008 ESU #8 Elementary Art Show
Superior and Excellent Ribbon Winners

The K-8 Art students recently competed at the ESU #8 Elementary Art Show at Neligh. The show represents over 5000 students from 30 schools. Because of display space restrictions, each school has a limited amount of entries. Elgin Public Schools were allowed 24 entries.
Of the 24 students whose work was chosen for the show, 12 earned Blue ribbons, 4 received Reds and 8 were awarded Honorable Mentions. Earning Blue ribbons for Superior work were Connor Kinney, Nash Schindler, Shane Vanis, Tre Henkenius, Dean Braband, Hunter Thramer, Ivy Prater, Alois Warner, Hayden Niewohner, Jaime Hoefer, Liam Heithoff and Rider Short. Students awarded Red ribbons for Excellent work included Connor Kinney, Christopher Bush, Jaime Hoefer and Emily Walsh. Bringing home Honorable Mention awards were Madison Voborny, Kyle Heithoff, Paula Dowdy, Christian Lundgren, Nick Iburg, Logan Simpson, Hunter Reestman and Tyler Iburg.

The Elementary Art students next show will be the Antelope County Fair at Neligh this summer.
