Job Experience

After graduating from the Academy I was on active duty for five years serving as an Aeronautical Engineer.  I then taught engineering and physics courses for ten years at the Air Force Academy, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and other community colleges.  This is my second year as an Elgin Eagle.

Background

I grew up in Lincoln and after moving around due to military duties I have returned to Neligh to be near family and raise my children in a small town.  I have two daughters, ages 9 and 7, and a 4-year old son.  I enjoy the outdoors, photography, and running.

Teaching Goals

Every student is an individual with specific learning styles and I work hard to find what works best for each student.  For the students to learn and work to their full potential it is very important to me that they feel comfortable asking questions, exploring topics, and expressing their opinions in my classroom.  Being respectful of each other is a large part of that.  I hope they will learn skills necessary to be successful in their future careers and educational goals and become citizens of high moral character.
