Experience

After completing my student teaching at Orchard Public Schools, I was hired at Clearwater Public schools and spent six years there teaching.  I have been part time 6th grade teacher, Title teacher, and 5th & 6th Combination Teacher.

Biography

I am a 1998 graduate of Clearwater Public Schools and have lived in Clearwater all of my life.  My husband Blaine and I have been married for five years and are expecting our first child in March.  He is a welder for SMEAL in Neligh.  My Mom and Dad have a farm in Clearwater, which I sometimes help.  My sister Pam and her husband Rob live in Norfolk and have three beautiful girls: Hayden, Jacey, & Mallory.  Curt, my brother, and his wife Amy farm with our parents in Clearwater.  They have three handsome boys: Clay, Colton, and Keaton.  My youngest sister, Melissa is married to Jason Heithold and will be graduating from Iowa State with her veterinarian degree in May.  I enjoy all kinds of sports and outdoor activities.  During the summer I enjoy playing softball, fishing, and camping.  I also am a hunter and am looking to improve on my 3 point buck this fall.

Teaching Motto

My Philosophy

Respect all students and colleagues like I would like to be Respected

Standards are important but the students come first and foremost

Teaching is not an 8-4 job but a passion

Humor in a classroom can be a very effective teaching tool

Instruction must fit each student, they are all unique in their own special way

Encourage all students to always do their best

Learning is a life-long process for people at all ages

Every student can learn no matter the circumstances
