by Sara Walsh

September 18, 2008

Sophomores Michelle, A.J., Anthony, Jennifer, and Kevin recently attended the Wonderful World of Water, held at Gilman Park in Pierce, NE.  Here they learned of the importance of conserving this precious natural resource.  The attended various presentation in the areas of wetlands, soil conservation, tree ID, geo-caching, and wildlife.  They were able to take part in many hands-on demonstrations and activities.

Participating schools may also take part in the "water rocket challenge" where they bring and launch their pre-designed water rocket.  The "Soaring Eagle" flew into the skies, but it wasn't high enough to win a prize!
