High School PALS - we will host an Easter egg hunt on Thursday during 7th period for our Kindergarten PALS - if you can help Mrs. Bode plan and organize please stop in and let her know. Thanks

 

Abbi, Hunter, Hannah, Tiffany, Jordan and Travis, get your dues paid!!! If you don't pay them, you won't get your diploma signed. Either give them to Allison or to the office and tell Allison if you do!!

 

If you would like to attend national FFA convention next Oct the applications are in the ag room. I will only be taking 7 members, so make sure your applications are well done! These will be due before May 1st. 8th Graders - you may also apply!!

All FFA Members: The applications for Chapter Officers is in the Ag Room. These are due back to Mrs. Schwartz by April 17th! Interviews start at 5pm on April 22nd.

State FFA Convention Highlights - Be sure to tell these individuals great job!

  • Alois Warner made finals out of 24 competitors and earned a 4th place finish in Jr. Public Speaking and Karissa Dicke earned a gold merit medal for her Natural Resource speech about wind energy. 
  • The Agri- Science team (Kelsey Welding, Elianne Heilhecker, Taylor Sehi and Elizabeth Selting) coming of a district championship performance ended up earning 3rd place in the state (out of 100 teams). Taylor Sehi was the top scorer for the team with a 7th overall finish. Eli earned a blue ribbon, Liz a red ribbon and Kelsey a white ribbon.
  • Trent Bauer was 3rd in the state for his "Small Animal Care and Management" Proficiency. 
  • Ag Mechanics team placed 17th overall. Jon Meis and Tanner Welding earned a red ribbon while Brett Kinney earned a white ribbon.
  • Welding team placed in the top 25% with Jon Meis earning a 16th overall finish in O/A welding and blue ribbon. Taven Cameron earned a white ribbon in ARC welding and Andrew Fangman earned a white ribbon in MIG welding.

Congratulations to the FCCLA members that competed at state!  Dylan W. & Austin M. placed 1st and will compete at Nationals.  Steph B. Madi V. & Sharla S were runner-up in their event and will also compete at Nationals.  Hunter & Ivy received a silver for their event!   Great Job, FCCLA!

Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams yesterday at the Ceder Valley Invite. Girls placed third and boys placed second. Individually for the girls Jill Schindler placed 2nd in the 100 and 3rd in the 200. Taylor Sehi placed 6th in both 100 and 200. Taylor Shumacher placed 3rd in the 400 and 1st in the 800. Jenna parks 1st in high jump, 4th in 400, 3rd in the 1600. Maddy Voborny 4th in the 100 hurdles. Liz Selting 5th in the 1600. 4X8 relay of Parks, Shumacher, Selting, and Jordan Mescher placed 3rd. 4X1 Schindler, Sehi, Shumacher, and Voborny placed 5th.

Congratulations to the Speech Team on an outstanding performance at State Speech on Friday.  Ethan and Ivy were State Runners up in Duet. The rest of the events just missed medalling at state (Top 6).Katie placed 7th in Serious Prose, Ivy Placed 8th in Entertainment, Boys' OID placed 9th, and the Girls' OID placed 12th.  Overall the team placed 16th out of 42 teams in D2.

 

Terrific job of representing EPS! You have much to be proud of.

For the solo contest on Sat. they will be using the High School Building and the Gym.  Please be sure all of your stuff is locked up or taken home.  Pick everything up so we present a wonderful atmosphere to have this event.
