I was born and raised in Boulder, CO. My family still lives in the Boulder area, my dad and mom Jim and Liz as well as my sister Kayla. I graduated from Fairview High School and headed to Nebraska to begin my college career at Doane College.
While at Doane, I met my wife, Joelle. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many opportunities Doane had to offer. I graduated with Business and Physical Education degrees. After graduation, we moved back to the Boulder area. I worked in for a company selling athletic field covers and Joelle worked in marketing. In a short time, I realized how much I missed teaching. The following year I became the PE teacher at Bear Creek Elementary. Joelle and I both decided to pursue our Master's degrees and began programs at a University of Phoenix campus in Denver. I graduated with my Masters in Education, Leadership and Supervision and Joelle in School Counseling. Joelle is now the elementary counselor at Boone Central Schools.
We welcomed our first son, Jack, into our lives at the beginning of the school year last year. He has been more fun to have around than either of us imagined. We are very blessed and thankful to have him in our lives and look forward to coming home each day to see what new tricks he has learned!
