2010 Graduation

Elgin Public Schools held their Commencement exercises on May 15, 2010 at the EHS gym at 7:00PM. Graduating seniors were; Jamie Bode, Devin Brown, Travis Dozler, Tyler Johnson, Justin Kallhoff, Justine Meis, Justin Reestman, Eric Vanis and Noel Voborny. The seniors were led into the ceremony by Junior Attendants; Jessica Heithoff and Sebastian Janssen as Mrs. Jones played 'Pomp and Circumstance'.
Principal Jimmy Feeney gave the welcome followed by the Invocation by Jamie Bode. Tyler Johnson gave the Salutatorian address. The Elgin Public Choir sang "My Wish". Devin Brown presented the Valedictorian address. The "Charge to the Class" was by Pastor Bonnie Linton Hendrick. Her speech was followed by the Senior Slideshow. Superintendent Mr. Steve Dennis presented the class to Board President Steve Heithoff as they handed out diplomas. After receiving their diplomas the seniors gave their parents a lily followed by the recessional to conclude the ceremonies.
The seniors lined up for the receiving line to be congratulated by friends, faculty and family. Finally it was time to head to the board room to have their diplomas signed by Mr. Feeney and Mr. Dennis.
The senior motto was
"Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail" Ralph Waldo Emerson
The class colors were Orange and Black and the class flower was a Orange and White Lily.
