Following the meal EHS Superintendent, Steve Dennis and Principal, Jimmy Feeney III were introduced to the Alumni along with the Alumni Committee.  At this time Bessie Nissen Hawks, Class of 1929,  was recognized as the oldest alumni present.  Mr. Dennis reflected on his first year as superintendent at EHS and provided information about the past school year and future activities.

Ken Reestman, Class of 1975, gave the welcome to the Class of 2010 followed by his son Justin from the class giving the response.

EHS students Jessica Heithoff, Connor Kinney and 2010 graduate Devon Brown entertained the crowd with several musical selections.

Class of 1950
The 5-year classes of 1935, 1945, 1955, 1965, 1975, 1995 and 2005 were recognized.  The honored classes of 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010 were represented and provided entertaining speakers.

2010 Alumni Scholarship winners were Tyler Johnson, Justine Meis and Justin Kallhoff
The alumni awarded $500.00 scholarships to three members of the Class of 2010.  Receiving those scholarships were Justin Kallhoff, Justine Meis and Tyler Johnson.

The Honored Alumnus awards were presented to Greg McLain and Richard Schuhardt both members of the Class of 1970 for their contributions to their communities and society.

During the business meeting the 2009 Alumni Banquet minutes and 2009 Financial reports were reviewed.  Alumni members were encouraged to submit email addresses to the committee.  In an attempt to reduce expenses, some of the invitations for next year's banquet may be sent online.  In addition a vote was taken to measure support for changing the location of next year's banquet.  The vote revealed a majority of members in favor of moving the banquet to Elgin KC Hall.  The committee will explore the options for the date of next year's banquet.

The banquet concluded with the school song led by the Class of 1970.  After the banquet many people took advantage of the open house and toured the school.
