It was a perfect spring day for Elgin Public's Commencement ceremonies. The Seniors posed for pictures, pictures and more pictures. Group pictures, officers pictures, girls pictures, guys pictures, yearbook pictures and parent pictures. Soon the seniors were kicking me out of the Band room and it was time for the evening to start.

On to the receiving line as teachers, family and friends congratulate the Seniors
The ceremony began with Mrs. Jones playing "Pomp and Circumstance" for the processional. Principal Adam Patrick gave the welcome followed by the Salutatorian address by Connor Kinney. The Elgin High Choir performed "My Wish" and "Like An Eagle". Ashley Bode was the Valedictorian for the class.
National Honor Society Members
The guys waste no time coming into the gym to get their diplomas signed
Rev. Ray Avidano gave the "Charge to the Class" followed by the Senior Slide Show prepared by Ashley Bode. Superintendent Steve Dennis presented the class to Board President Laurie Waterbury for diplomas.
After receiving their diplomas the Seniors presented a Tiger Lily to their parents in keeping with their colors of Red, Orange and Black. The receiving line followed the graduation ceremony. Mr. Dennis and Mr. Patrick signed their diplomas afterwards to finish up the evening before they headed off to their receptions.
