2014 Prom
"A Night in Hollywood"
The 2014 Elgin Public Junior-Senior Prom was held Saturday, April 5th at the Elgin Knights of Columbus Hall in Elgin. The theme was a "A Night in Hollywood" featuring the red carpet walk. Juniors, Seniors and their dates started gathering at 6:30 for breathalizers and pictures. Kimberly's Photography of Neligh was the photographer for the event. After pictures the students gathered for the Grand March. Mr. Prater announced everyone as they walked down the "Red Carpet". And everyone now knows how to properly escort a lady:) (you had to be there).
The Grand March was followed by a delicious meal of pork loin with gravy, cheesy potatoes, corn, melon fruit salad, dinner rolls and cake served by Jo's Catering. The kids quickly worked the meal off dancing to the music of Splendid Sounds from Clearwater. After a fun evening of dancing the students changed clothers and headed off to Norfolk to the spend the night at the YMCA for post prom.
