4th Gr. Happenings
With the school year winding down, the fourth grade has been doing a lot of cool things.
1) The class published a book!
Their book titled, Fantastic Fourth Grade Memories, has arrived and is awesome. It's full of their favorite memories of the year, illustrations, and digital pictures taken throughout the year. They learned a lot about the process of publishing your work.
2) Reading Charlotte's Web by E.B. White
Charlotte put words in her web to describe her friend, Wilbur, so the fourth graders also made a web with yarn and push pins and had to put words/letters in their web. It definitely wasn't easy.
3) Celebrating Arbor Day
Five members of the Neligh Lions Club came to talk about Arbor Day and gave each student a Ponderosa Pine to plant. They also told them some of the awesome things that the Lions Club does for the area communities. If you have a pair of old glasses be sure to bring them to Dean's Market and they will be used for college students studying to be an eye doctor and then sent to third world countries for people that can't afford eye glasses. Also, if you get a call from them asking to purchase peaches and pears think about buying some to help them help others!
4) Ag class students come to present
Four groups of Ag students came to talk about livestock digestive systems of a chicken, horse, cow, and pig.
