The students put in a lot of time not only creating their work but show prepping it which includes, matting, framing and tagging their work.  The artworks were packed and ready to be hung at the show.  It may have taken a couple of tries but the students finally got everything in the van and were ready for the trip to Neligh.  After hanging the work on Thursday, it was judged and the show was open to the public Thursday night.  The students attended the show on Friday to view the work and listen to a presentation by Mark Ervin, one the animators from "The Simpsons" and "Futurama".  He discussed how he got into art, what schools he went to and how he got his various jobs and what he is doing now.  Students were able to ask him questions and watch draw Homer Simpson and various cars on his computer.

The students viewed all of the purple ribbon winning work when it was brought to the front of the show.  Students or their teachers discussed how they got their ideas, how they did the project and how long the project took.
