5th & 7th Graders Will Attend Kindness & Courage Retreats

August 24 at Niobrara

Since 1987, Youth Frontiers has been delivering programs to build positive school communities that help people realize the importance of respecting themselves and others.  Their vision is to change the way young people treat each other in every hallway, lunch line, and classroom of every school in America so that today's people make tomorrow's world better.

On Thursday, August 24, Elgin 5th & 7th graders will attend the Youth Frontier Courage & Kindness Retreats.  The Elgin students, along with several other students from the Northern Tier Consortium, will be inspired to follow their hearts instead of the crowd, use courage, and make responsible decisions.  Students will also spend a high-energy day developing tools to foster empathy, promote kindness, and prevent bullying.

Parents of 5th & 7th graders need to prepare a sack lunch and have their children to Elgin by 7:30 A.M.  The retreats will be conclude at 2:30 P.M., and students will be home in time to catch busses.
