Turkeys in Disguise
The third graders read a book titled A Turkey for Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting. Throughout the story, the students thought the turkey was going to be the main course for the Thanksgiving meal. However, the turkey was spared and invited to enjoy the Thanksgiving dinner himself. Students then were asked to create a disguise for their turkey to keep him/her off of the Thanksgiving table. They were very creative and we had disguises ranging from a ballerina to an American Flag to several deer hunters! Check out the picture gallery of each turkey disguise! Happy Thanksgiving from Mrs. Eisenhauer and the third graders!
