2019 Acrylic Pours

Sixth Grade

The Sixth grade Art class has been busy creating acrylic pours.  For their first pour most of the students tried a "dirty" pour where they layered their colors (a glue, paint and liquid soap mix) into a cup and then turned it upside down on a CD that had been sanded and had the hole plugged.  Their next step will be to try it on a record album.  Some students went with a thinner mix in old mayo bottles (thanks for the donation from Lisa!) that they drizzled over their CD.  After drying a couple of days we'll be able to view the final results. The CDs turned out so well we moved onto record albums.  Click on the photo corners to view the results.

Thank you to the Bargain Box for donating the albums and to Stacy Henn and Steve Heithoff for donating the CDs!
