2019 NVC Art Show
Hosted by Elkhorn Valley Schools
The 7-12 EHS Art students competed in the NVC Art show hosted by Elkhorn Valley Schools. The seven high school students earned a total of 38 ribbons that included one Judges' Merit (purple), 5 Superiors (blue), 17 Excellents (red), 8 Commendables (yellow) and 7 Honorable Mentions (green). The students participated in a group art activity that included reproducing the work of French artist Charles Petillion's cloud sculptures. After listening to the judges' comments the students took down the show and returned home.
Anna Heilhecker won 4 blues, 5 reds, 2 yellows and 3 HMs
Kira Widger brought home a purple, 1 red and 2 yellows
Mateo Kirstine earned 1 blue and 7 reds
Garet Behnk brought home 1 red, 1 commendable and 2 HMs
Mary Nichols won 2 reds
Breanna Carr earned 1red, 2 yellows and 1HM
Leslie Nichols won 1 yellow
Olivia Lindgren earned an HM
The junior high earned a total of 37 ribbons that included 2 purples, 11 blues, 10 reds, 9 yellows and 5 greens.
