Elgin Public Prepares School Opening in August

I am sure many of you have questions about how school will begin in August.
We continue to receive information from the Governor, State Department of Education, and the State and Local Health Officials. Our goal is to have the students in the building in August.
We have been putting plans together as to what the school year will look like and take into account the changes from the various departments.
We hope to be able to share with you our completed plan by late July. We understand that this is not long before school begins but we do not want to project an earlier date and not have the correct information from the State Departments involved so that we can be as accurate as possible to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community.
