Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Elgin Public Prom will be held April 17, 2010 at the Elgin KC Hall. All of our vendors have been booked and include; Reflections of Pierce for our photographer, Jo's Catering of Elgin for the meal and our DJ will be Kelly Kerkman of Splendid Sounds.
The colors are red, gold and black. The theme is "Tonight's Dream, Tomorrow's Memory". We'll have Arabian inspired decorations that include Arabian castles and palm trees.
Our glasses have arrived as well as our supplies for the decorations. The Juniors have almost completed making the decorations and will decorate Friday night starting after school at 4:00.
The schedule for Saturday night will be be pictures and breathalizer from 7:00-8:00 PM. Once you have taken your breathalizer you may not leave the KC Hall. Have your photo envelope and payment with you for pictures. Group photos will be at 7:40.
Proper dress is required. This is a formal event. If the boys have not rented a tux they need to wear a dress shirt, tie, dress pants and dress shoes, NO SNEAKERS! Girls are expected to wear a dress and dress shoes. Inform your out-of-school dates of our expectations.
No inappropriate behavior or you may be asked to leave and your parents called. Your parents will be notified if you leave early.
The meal is from 8:00-9:00 PM. Our menu is Pork Loin, cheesy pototoes, corn, lettuce with dressing, Choco-lot dessert, punch and water. The dance will begin at 9:00PM and last until midnight. Kelly Kerkman will be the DJ.
After the dance students will proceed up to the gym for Post Prom. Another breathalizer will be administered at this time.
Clean up will be Sunday at 5:00 PM. All juniors are expected to be there.
