The federal regulations on Title IX require each covered school district or educational service agency to make “publicly available” on their websites all “materials used to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process.” For your convenience, we are providing the following link, and log-in credentials, for you to post on your district’s website:
Please note that the license that we grant for access to these materials is limited to public access for informational purposes only and does not include the right to use such materials for training purposes. In other words, we’re providing this for the sole purpose of the posting requirements.
It is the policy of the Elgin Public School District that no person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any of the [school district’s or educational service agency’s] programs or activities. The Elgin Public School District is required by Title IX (20 U.S.C. § 1681) and 34 C.F.R. part 106 to not discriminate in such a manner. This non-discrimination policy extends to admission and employment, and inquiries about the application of Title IX and 34 C.F.R. part 106 to the Elgin Public School District may be referred to the Elgin Public School District's Title IX Coordinator, the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the United States Department of Education, or both.
