Computer Applications "Don't Text and Drive" Video wins ESU8 Contest!
The Computer Applications class recently completed a unit of study discussing Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship and learning application software such as Movie Maker. As a final project, the class randomly drew groups to create an entry for the Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety Contest sponsored by the Nebraska Attorney General and Education Service Units across Nebraska. Since each school could only enter one entry in the 9-12 division, the class voted on the final productions, which could be Audio PSA, a poster, a Video PSA, or a computer generated PSA. The vote determined which entry should be made to the contest. The group of Sharla, Tera, and Christopher won by class vote and was Elgin Public Schools entry in the contest.
It was just learned that Elgin Public Schools entry will represent ESU 8 in the statewide contest! Congratulations to Tera, Christopher, and Sharla for winning ESU 8's Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship Contest! Their video will now be showcased statewide in the 9-12 grade division! We hope you will take a moment to view their video and heed the message!
