Congratulations to the Speech Team on an impressive conclusion to a successful season!
- The OID of Baylee, Brenna, Chloe, Callie and Kayton are the third place medalists in Class D2 OID.
- The group earned three perfect ballots of first place rank and a perfect 50/50 throughout the day, including finals.
- Baylee and Chloe are also the sixth place medalists in Class D2 Duet.
- The following earned Superior Ratings during the contest: Baylee-Informative, Kyndal-Persuasive, and Callie-Entertainment.
District Meet - March 12th
- STATEBOUND
- The OID of Baylee, Brenna, Chloe, Callie and Kayton are District Champs.
- Kyndal is the District Runner-up in Persuasive.
- The Duet of Baylee and Chloe placed third
- Callie placed third in Entertainment
- Baylee placed third in Informative.
- Zoey placed fourth in Poetry
- Chloe placed fifth in Entertainment
- Brenna and Callie placed fifth in Duet
- Superior Ratings went to Gemma in Persuasive and Extemp and Kyla in Humorous.
- Kyla also earned an Excellent Rating in Extemp.
Riverside meet - February 28th
- Baylee Busteed earned the runners-up medal in Informative
- The OID of Baylee, Brenna, Chloe, Callie and Kayton were 4th place medalists in OID
- Chloe was the 5th place medalist in Entertainment
- Kyndal placed 4th in Persuasive Honors Finals
- Baylee and Chloe placed 6th in Duet Honors Finals
- Superior Ratings were earned by the following: Ruby-Poetry, Zoey-Poetry, Sam-Serious and Callie-Entertainment.
- Excellent Ratings went to Gemma-Extemp and Persuasive and Kyla-Humorous and Extemp.
Lutheran High Northeast Speech Meet - February 23rd
- The duet of Baylee and Chloe brought home the runners-up medals.
- Kyndal earned the 5th place medal in Persuasive, and Chloe won the 6th place medal in Entertainment.
- The following earned Superior Ratings: Kyla-Humorous, Ruby-Poetry, Baylee-Informative, Samantha-Serious, and Zoey-Poetry. Excellent Ratings went to Kyla-Extemp and Gemma-Extemp and Persuasive.
Howells Dodge Tournament - February 14th
- The OID of Baylee, Brenna, Chloe, Callie and Kayton were runners up on the day. Baylee and Chloe earned 4th place medals in duet. Kyndal placed 4th in the Persuasive Honors Finals. Chloe and Callie both earned Superior Ratings in their Entertainment Speaking Debut. Baylee earned a Superior Rating in Informative.
- In the JV Division, Gemma placed 6th in Persuasive, Kyla placed 6th in Humorous, and Zoey placed 6th in Poetry. Ruby earned an Excellent Rating in Poetry, and Kyla earned an Excellent Rating in Extemp.
