MONDAY:  The FFA will have its end of the year party/meeting at 5pm next Monday, May 20th (or after the FB meeting) All members and 8th graders interested in joining FFA are encouraged to attend! The new officers will have games and will be grilling!

 

MONDAY:  Wolfpack Cheerleaders -----Cheer Uniform Rep. will be here at 3:45 p.m.  (Mrs. Wemhoff’s Room)

Faith Regional Neligh Family Medicine Clinic will be offering a sports physical night again this year.  The sports physical night is scheduled for May 15th  from 5pm – 7pm at the Neligh Family Medicine Clinic (located across the street from the Imperial II in Neligh).  The cost for the physicals is $25.00, no claims will be submitted to insurance for physicals completed that night.  All of the proceeds collected from physicals completed that night will be donated back to the respective schools.  The evening of May 15th is the only time this year we will be offering this benefit to area schools.  I have attached a flyer that has more details. Thank you to everyone that helped make the 52nd FFA banquet a success last Friday. Thank you especially to the parents who brought food! Everything was wonderful!

 

The greenhouse is still open for business! There is wide variety yet to choose from that the FFA and Ag Ed students have taken care of. It will be open today until 5pm. It will also be open in the afternoons till 4pm the rest of the week. Any plants not sold will be donated. 

 

NECC here tomorrow! Northeast Community College Precision Ag instructors will be in the South parking lot all day tomorrow (Tuesday). Students are asked to not park in that lot as their set up is quite extensive! 

Faith Regional Neligh Family Medicine Clinic will be offering a sports physical night again this year.  The sports physical night is scheduled for May 15th  from 5pm – 7pm at the Neligh Family Medicine Clinic (located across the street from the Imperial II in Neligh).  The cost for the physicals is $25.00, no claims will be submitted to insurance for physicals completed that night.  All of the proceeds collected from physicals completed that night will be donated back to the respective schools.  The evening of May 15th is the only time this year we will be offering this benefit to area schools.  I have attached a flyer that has more details. Please let me know if you have any questions. 

 

Juniors/Junior Parents:  

This is a busy time!  Job shadows are scheduled for May 7 & 8.  Mrs. Rittscher MUST have permission form signed and returned no later than Thursday (May 2) by 8:15 AM.  If not returned, she will need to cancel job shadow! 

Also, if you plan to take dual credit Eng Comp/Research & Writing Fall 2019/Spring 2020 for dual credit, you need to get forms from Mrs. Rittscher.  They need to be completed and turned in so that you can get registered with Central Community College.

And lastly, if you would like to attend Fridays at Northeast next school year, you need to talk to Mrs. Rittscher ASAP!  She has handout of course availability and you need to get signed up for it asap! If you don't get signed up, there is a possibility that the course you want WON'T be offered if not enough sign up.  Again, this is time sensitive and needs to be taken care of ASAP!  If she hasn't heard from you by end of this week, she'll figure that you aren't interested.

Congratulations to all FFA members that participated in the 91st NE State FFA Convention. Highlights:

The Chapter was the 3rd Place overall Chapter for the " I Believe in the Future of Ag" Campaign. 

Kali Dworak was the 3rd Overall Ind. in the Agriscience Contest (out of about 450 contestants and only 1 point from winning!)

Ally W. and Kaylee were 2nd in their division in the Agriscience Fair competition

RJ Lierman was 2nd in his division in the Agrisceince Fair competition

Many other members and teams earned purple ribbons for their efforts in competitions!

Juniors:  A reminder that your deposit of $25 is due to Mrs. D. Heithoff by Monday, 4/8/19.  If you do not turn this into me by then, you do not get into prom.  You will get your money back on Sunday, April 14 at 4:00 pm when you come to clean up.  If you do not come to clean up, you do not get your money back.  Thank you to the juniors who have already turned in their deposit.

Anyone wishing to donate non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, or hygiene supplies to flood victims in the Niobrara-Verdigre area, you can drop off items to either school in Elgin.   Items will be collected until Wed. March 27th at noon.  We are putting the EPS Trailer on the Eagle’s Nest, let’s see if we can fill it!
