The Elgin FFA Chapter held it’s
41st annual Banquet the evening of Thursday, March
24th in the EPS Gymnasium, with over 150 members,
parents, and guest in attendance. Throughout the night
several members and friends of the FFA were recognized for their
hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Individuals receiving special recognition were Curtis C. – Star
Greenhand Award, Carlie R. – Central Valley Ag: Excellence in
Leadership and Education Award, Jessica M. – Star Chapter Farmer,
& Kyle.– Star in Agricultural Placement. The Elgin FFA
Chapter awarded Lucy’s Flower Corner (Chis Bolling & Lucy
Allemang) with the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree for their help and
dedication to the Elgin FFA Program.

earlier the previous week, the Officers for the 2008 – 2009 year

Upcoming Chapter Activities – The
chapter will be holding a trash pickup day on the 12th
of May along with FCCLA. There will be a meeting for present
first year members and upcoming potential FFA members on Thursday,
May 15, 2008, and and the 2008 – 2009 officer team will be
travining to Aurora NE for the Chapter Officer Leadership Training
(COLT) May 29th-31st, .
