EHS OPENS ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

Elgin Public School Alumni Association have started plans for an EHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
Criteria for the Elgin High School Athletic Hall of Fame
- The Hall of Fame will include both boy and girl former athletes and outstanding coaches.
- A former athlete must have graduated from Elgin High School at least 5 years prior to his or her induction.
- There will be a limit of 2 inductees per year, unless voted upon by the committee. There does not have to be an inductee at all!!
- A nominee’s selection will be based upon his or her outstanding athletic achievements while attending Elgin High School. 80% is athletic achievements, 10% is NSAA sponsored activities, 5% is college activities and 5% is entering the teaching or coaching profession
- No nomination will be accepted unless the proper letter of recommendation is submitted with all information required.
To nominate someone for the Hall of Fame please send your letter of recommendation to Carlie Wells, Elgin Public School, P.O. Box 399, Elgin, NE 68636.
Your letter should include:
* Years of Varsity Letters in which sports
* Listings of District, Conference, or All State Honors
* Listing of any Newspaper/Media Awards
* Listing of any placings at State contests
* Listing of State Playoff or Tournament results
* Participation in All-Star Games or Events
* All-State honors or participation in Band, Choir, Speech, One-Act
* College or coaching experiences
Also include why you think this nominee should be inducted to the Elgin Public School Athletic Hall of Fame.
The inductees will be honored during halftime at the last home basketball game of the season.
