Eagle Signs
2008 National Education Week
Students in grades 2-6 recently completed their graphic design unit in Art. Their assignment was to design an Elgin Eagle flag for National Education Week. The students discussed what needed to be included in their design such as school colors and mascot.
They spent a day learning to use the Printshop software to create their projects on a computer. After a little practice they began their design. They used the graphic and text features in Printshop. One design was chosen from each class. Click on the slideshow to view the winning designs. Go to the front page poll to vote for your favorite.
THE VOTES ARE IN! #5 WAS THE WINNER!
CONGRATULATIONS TO TAYLOR IN 4TH GRADE!
Eagle Signs
Mr. Fisher HS Principal | Nov 21, 2008 | Awesome job students and Mrs. Heithoff! Sign me up. It will be hard to pick but I definitely have to have one of those flags. |
| Sara Walshswalsh@esu8.orgEPSscience teacher | Nov 21, 2008 | Looking at these, I thought they were done by high schoolers! I had to go back and reread the article to make sure they really had been created by some very talented elementary students. Way to go! |
Paula Jensen | Nov 21, 2008 | Awesome job, elementary! I printed the entries off on the color printer in the office. ALL the entries were excellent! It was difficult to narrow it down to just these 5 and now it is hard to vote on just 1. We hope to see more of the Elementary on our website! |
