School Begins August 18th
8:15 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
The first day of school for students at Elgin Public School will be on Wed. August 18, 2010. All students K-12 will meet from 8:15 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Students in Grades 7-12 should report to the gym when they arrive. Preschool classes will be held from 8:15 - 11:30 a.m.
Breakfast and Lunch will be served beginning on Wed. August18th. Breakfast is served from 7:45 - 8:05 a.m. Breakfast costs $1.40 for all students. Lunch costs $1.85 for PreK-6th grade and $2.10 for grades 7-12. Applications for free or reduced price meals will be sent to parents soon. If your family may be eligible, please complete the application as soon as possible and return it to Elgin Public Schools. Bus service will begin on Wed. August 18th. If you are in need a bus service, and were not previously on the route, please call the school office.
Registration for grades 7-12 will be held on August 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the gym. Students and their parents will complete office paperwork, finalize their class schedules, and review the student handbooks with Mr. Feeney, Mrs. Bode, and Mrs. Jensen. This is a very important meeting for all 7-12 students and their parents.
