UNK HONOR CHOIRS ANNOUNCED!

The UNK Honor Band and Choral Clinic will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012.  Audition tapes were made by nearly 700 students across the state in the hopes of being selected to perform in one of the choirs.  These Elgin Public Schools students were accepted:  Madison Voborny - soprano in the Women's Choir, Juliana Dunn - alto in the Festival Choir, and Ashlyn DeWald - soprano in the Festival Choir.  Congratulations to all of you on your accomplishment!

The clinicians for the event this year are Dr. David Bauer – UNK, Brian Botsford  – Wahoo, Nebraska and Marge Simons-Bester - Bellevue, Nebraska.

Students will be rehearsing all day with the members of each choir.  A final concert will begin on Monday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the UNK Health & Sports Center. There is a charge for the concert of $3.00 per person with free admission for preschool children.  Tickets may only be purchased the evening of the concert.  We know anyone who attends will come home with a wonderful musical experience.
