State Health Science Meet participants chosen

Ivy's project was not only selected to attend the state meet, but her project has also been selected to be displayed at the state event.

Three Elgin Public 8th graders chose to create a project for and present at the regional Health Science Meet sponsored by AHEC.  Ivy Prater, Hunter Thramer, and Abbi Couch put in extra time and effort to create their individual science fair project, then traveled to Norfolk to present to the judges.  Besides having their projects judged, their day was filled with hands-on projects and activities dealing with the health science field.

Hunter will be attending the state meet in Omaha this summer.
Around 600 students from around the state create projects for the regional meets and roughly 75 are chosen to attend the state meet in Omaha this summer.  Ivy and Hunter have been asked to travel to UNMC for a 3-day experience of hands-on learning about science and the health field.  Furthermore Ivy has been asked to bring her project for display, an honor that only 10 of the participants receive.  To be chosen out of 600 projects is an outstanding honor!
Abbi's presentation was the best tasting!

All three girls did a tremendous job with their projects.  Congratulations!
