Chem students use their knowledge of dyes

The chemistry students recently used their knowledge of dyes to create personalized headbands.  They had studied the use of mordants earlier in the year and discussed why they were used to change the polarity of fabrics.  They also experimented with colorfastness and lightfastness and how different dyes exhibit these properties differently.
