Wolfpack Junior High Volleyball Team Opens Their Season With Victories!
The Wolfpack Junior High Volleyball Team opened their season last week against Clearwater-Orchard on Monday and Neligh-Oakdale on Wednesday. The A team came away with two victories while the B team tied in the 4 sets they played against Clearwater-Orchard and then beat Neligh-Oakdale in four.
Scores of Clearwater-Orchard B team game were: 1st set 12-20, 2nd set 20-13, 3rd set 13-20, and 4th set 20-16. The A team won their game in three sets, 25-22, 14-25, and 25-21.
Against Neligh-Oakdale on Wednesday, the A team claimed the victory in two sets, 25-15, 25-15. Leading scorers were Nikki Beckman with 12 points Terri Seier with 9. Nikki and Terri each had 2 ace serves along with Karissa Dicke and Jordan Mescher. Jenna Parks led the team with 8 set assist and Terri Seier and Nikki Beckman each had four kills.
The B team game scores were 15-20, 20-10, 20-11, and 20-16. Amy Nelson led all scorers with 17 points while Morgan Carpenter contributed 13. Morgan also had 4 ace serves, followed by Tiarra Thramer, Zoey Bergman, Amy Nelson, Kelsy Welding and Shantel Preister each with one.
Both the A team and B team will play against St. Mary’s on Monday, 9/19. The B team will have two games as they travel to Ewing on Wednesday, 9/21.
