What Key Is That In?
Today in band, we originally were just going to work on music or have a study hall but then a question came up. Dylan Widger asked, "How do people and musicians know what key music is in?" Mr. Heithoff then replied with "Great question! Actually, let's talk about that today!"
In band today, Mr. Heithoff introduced our band students to the Circle of Fifths. Not only did he answer questions on how people and musicians figure out the key music is in, but he taught us how sharps and flats get their position on the staff. The quote "You learn something new everyday" really did come into affect during band class on Friday the 15th.
