Break Out The Popcorn For To Kill A Mockingbird Movie
The English 10 class thoroughly enjoyed reading To Kill a Mockingbird and after slaving over the book for weeks and having deep classroom discussions, we came to the conclusion that we wouldn’t be able to finish the book before Christmas break. It was clear that we were all antsy to finish the book, and many of us did before we had returned. The book was a success among us and after completing the test we started in on the movie.
Today, January 18, 2016, we finished the movie. It still holds true that books are better than their movies, but the film producers did a great job of making Harper Lee’s book come to life. We were sad to say goodbye to the novel, but we definitely learned a lot from the memorable themes and lessons that To Kill a Mockingbird taught us.
