Elgin Public School Board
Special December Meeting
Distance Learning Room, EPS
December 21, 2011, 7:30 PM
President Waterbury called the special December 2011 Meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Board members present were Ryan Reestman, Steve Heithoff, Kim Wells, Laurie Waterbury, Stan Heithoff, and Bob Hoefer. Also present were Superintendent Steve Dennis and Principal Adam Patrick.

President Waterbury led the “Pledge of Allegiance.” Waterbury reminded everyone that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Law was posted in the meeting room.
School board meeting notice complied with Meeting Notice Policy #204.07.
Kim Wells motioned and Stan Heithoff second to approve the agenda. Vote 6-0. Motion carried.
In action items, Steve Heithoff motioned and Bob Hoefer second to approve Amendment of Board Policy 501, Student Admissions Requirements. All voted aye, motion carried.
The Board received information from three search firms with proposals to complete the Superintendent Search. After some discussion Ryan Reestman motioned to approve NASB Search Service option 1 for Superintendent search. Stan Heithoff seconded the motion. Voting aye were Stan Heithoff, Steve Heithoff, Reestman, Waterbury, and Wells. Voting no was Hoefer. Motion carried, 5-1.
Hoefer motioned and Steve Heithoff second to adjourn the meeting. All voted aye and meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
The next regular board meeting will be on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 7:30 PM at the EPS Distance Learning Room.
